The Constitutional Court of Angola was established in 2008 in terms of Acts 2/08 and 3/08, both of 17 June 2008, 1 thus preceding and anticipating the new constitution of 5 February 2010. 2 Act 2/08 provides for the establishment of the Constitutional Court ( Lei Orgânica do Tribunal Constitucional —LOTC) and Act 3/08 (also known as the Lei Orgânica do Processo Constitutional —LPC) for the procedure before the Constitutional Court.
