1. The suspension of political rights refers to the temporary loss of rights to political participation and mainly affects those who have committed a criminal offence (prisons and prisoners). It must be clearly differentiated from other forms of political participation eligibility. That is, this suspension only affects those who are holders of political rights and is different, in this regard, from the electoral exclusion of children, people with mental disabilities, and foreign residents. 2.
