1. The Spanish Constitutional Court (‘Court’ or ‘Constitutional Court’) is the high court of the country of Spain on all matters of constitutional law. It was created by the Constitution of the Kingdom of Spain: 6 December 1978 (as Amended to 27 September 2011) (Spain) (‘Constitution of 1978’ or ‘Constitution’), and defines Spain as ‘a social and democratic state under the rule of law’.
