The Province of La Pampa: Introductory Note

The Province of La Pampa is situated in the center of Argentina. It is bordered on the north by the Provinces of Mendoza, San Luis and Córdoba, on the east by the Province of Buenos Aires, on the south by the Province of Río Negro and on the west again by the Province of Mendoza. It covers an area of 143, 440 square kilometers (55,300 square miles). It is sparsely populated with a population of around 318,951 according to the 2010 census.
