The State of Colima is situated on the central Pacific coast of Mexico. It is bordered on the north and east by the State of Jalisco, on the southeast by the State Michoacán and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. The State also includes the four oceanic Revillagigedo Islands. It covers an area of 5,627 square kilometers (2,173 square miles) and, as of 2015, had a population of 711,235. The capital is Colima.
