[This Article was repealed.] Article XXIII §§ 1 and 2 was added to the constitution by a 1917 amendment. The Article prohibited the importation, manufacture, sale, barter gift, or offer of alcoholic liquors (except for scientific or sacramental purposes) after October 1, 1918, and provided for the punishment for violation of the prohibition. Article XXIII was repealed by a 1933 amendment.
