In order to favor the blossoming of everyone in a harmonious society that respects Creation as the cradle of the generations to come, that is open to the world and feels itself in union with it, measures its strength by the care it takes of the weakest of its members and conceives the State as the expression of their will, the people of the Canton of Vaud give themselves the following Constitution: 1.
